Lions Clubs International (LCI) is one of the world’s leading non-profit organizations that I was fortunate enough to work for. At LCI, I was responsible for user experience and user interface designs throughout all of our products reaching 250,000+ members monthly. As the only designer in the company, I worked under 5 product owners and their respective teams to conceptualize and implement new user experiences that better reflected our primary age demographic of 60+, while including the visually impaired. Tactics included larger font sizes, less color, more contrast, and tutorials to help educate and work with our users rather than against them.
Because of these new design implementations, we’ve received overwhelming positive feedback and encouragement from our core and most involved volunteers. LCI had received an increase of reports, a key indicator and important metric of the company’s success.
